This work reveals the effects generated from the implementation of a Personal Learning Environment (PLE, for its acronym in English), ninth grade students of the El Bosque Educational Institution. The proposal arises from the low results presented in recent years in the ninth grade knowledge tests and the lack of technological resources in the Institution. The analyzes are made from two approaches: Academic Performance and Motivation. In addition, the concentration coefficient of Hake is determined, with the purpose of the trends in the answers and the gain of learning of concepts, in the learning of the linear equations. It shows the change from the traditional to the virtual through the use of various web tools, which are different and particular for each of the students: it is the principle of the PLE, where each student implements their own tools. Through autonomy the student creates his personal learning environment according to his own needs.
