This research focuses on describing and analyzing the resilient process of a teenager 13 years old, having lived experiences of domestic violence and its social context; it’s located in a foster home in the city of Cali. To address the stated objective, it specified within the narrative identifying the significance teen makes its risk factors; provide a space where the teenager narrate how makes use of their individual resources, family, social and culture rights in three stages: past, present and future and thus generate a narrative space where experiences are identified in which put to use their coping strategies; through, a qualitative methodology, narrative design and use of autobiography as a tool. Ultimately it was found that protective factors don’t replace the risk factors, but give the individual to cope with adversity; furthermore, the subject is active during the process and can make good use of the resources that provides the context to undertake coping strategies and be resilient.
